Roundtrip Seattle, WA or Portland, OR
Discover the allure of the majestic Pacific Northwest! From the iconic Haystack Rock to the mesmerizing Mount Hood to cascading waterfalls, Oregon is a treasure chest of natural wonders.
Day 1
Embark on a quest to explore the Pacific Northwest. First, we’ll venture to the coast. Soak your toes in the Pacific Ocean at Cannon Beach and spy the iconic Haystack Rock. This afternoon, take a hike or go beachcombing. Watch the sunset from the coastal cliffside with the sound of waves crashing below.
Day 2
In the morning, there’s an option to gallup along the beach on a horseback ride. Today’s destination is Silver Falls State Park. The Trail of Ten Falls delights with gorgeous cascades seemingly around every turn. Whether you enjoy a slow meander or more strenuous hike, there’s something for everyone here. On a warm day, don’t miss the chance to take a dip beneath one of the falls!
Day 3
A scenic drive through the Willamette National Forest brings us to Bend, Oregon. In the shadows of the Cascade Mountains, Bend is a gateway to the outdoors. From white water rafting on the Deschutes River to mountain biking to hiking to Tumalo Falls, there’s plenty of exploring to be done. Some may choose a visit to the High Desert Museum or go on a cave tour on the hunt for ancient lava tubes. Whatever you choose, you’re bound to have fun in Bend!
Day 4
Today, spy the behemoth Mount Hood, a potentially active volcano topped by eleven glaciers! So many activities to choose from today. From hiking to mountain biking to skiing, there’s an outdoor adventure for every kind of enthusiast.
Day 5
Relax and enjoy the most comfortable ride around! The grand finale of the adventure is a ride along the Columbia River Gorge. Top it all off with a visit to the magnificent Multnomah Falls. Stretch your legs in Portland this afternoon.

Roundtrip San Francisco, CA
An action-packed camping adventure that won’t soon be forgotten! Experience some of our most treasured landscapes from kayak, raft and trail. Explore Big Sur, Monterey Bay, the Channel Islands and the Sierra Nevada range on this educational expedition!
Day 1
The adventure begins in Monterey, made famous by John Steinbeck! Stroll along Cannery Row, grab some treats on Fisherman’s Wharf or have a sand castle building contest on the beach. Optional activities include an Elkhorn Slough kayak trip to learn about the abundance of marine wildlife in the unique habitat. Alternatively, some choose an educational experience touring Monterey Bay Aquarium‘s awe-inspiring exhibits.
Day 2
In the morning, there is an option to go on a whale watching adventure in Monterey Bay. This afternoon, hike the trails to grand views of the Pacific Ocean at Point Lobos Marine Preserve. Seals, sea lions, sea birds, otters and even grey whales call this coastal sanctuary home. Later, venture south along the breathtaking Big Sur coastline to a tranquil campground for the evening.
Day 3
Greet the day with a variety of opportunities!
Soak up the sun, meander the pier and splash in the waves at San Simeon State Beach. A great way to add some leisure time to the adventure. Some choose to discover the historic grandeur of Hearst Castle on a guided tour. Visit a coastal colony to marvel at the size and unique lifestyle of elephant seals. Optional docent talk available.
Alternatively, some choose to head straight for Ventura for surfing lessons, stand-up paddle boarding or beachcombing.
Day 4
Rise and shine! An exhilarating and educational ferry ride brings us to the Channel Islands National Park. Keep your eyes out for dolphins, whales and other marine life! This unique archipelago is home to 150 species of plants that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Our day is spent indulging in the intriguing biology. Hike over rolling hills and meander through historic 19th century farm houses restored from the Spanish colonization.
Day 5
Heading inland today, our destination is the Sierra Nevada foothills. The option for an invigorating river rafting experience on the Kern River entices the adventurous spirit! Explore the historic town of Kernville and learn about its roots in the California gold rush. Activities like mountain biking and hiking abound on the wild outskirts of this Old West town.
Day 6
Visit the Native American Cultural Center in Bishop to discover traditions of California’s fifth largest native Paiute Tribe. Option to engage with members and participate in crafting or agriculture activities. Later, a walk around the Hot Creek Geological Site will have you erupting with curiosity as geysers steam from beneath the earth’s surface. A late afternoon stop at June Lake allows the opportunity for swimming, hiking and playing beach games.
Day 7
Decompress from the week’s excitement on the most comfortable ride back to the Bay Area. A possible rest stop in Yosemite National Park high country or a South Lake Tahoe visit allows time to stretch your legs on the trail. After this extraordinary week of exploration, the relaxing ride welcomes the chance to nap, play games and reminisce.

Roundtrip Los Angeles, CA
A wander through the desert to rejuvenate the adventurous spirit! Delve into the Grand Canyon, meander through Monument Valley and peak into the past at Valley of Fire State Park.
Day 1
The adventure begins in the most comfortable coach on earth. Sit back and relax on the way to Grand Canyon National Park. Stops en route include kitschy Seligman, Arizona, putting your finger on the pulse of the fabled Route 66.
Day 2
Spend the day exploring the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon, one of the world’s seven natural wonders! Bright Angel and South Kaibab trails offer routes to descend into the canyon, where every twist in the trail reveals a new, mind-blowing panorama. Strong hikers will love the chance to see inside!
Attend an educational ranger program to learn something new on various topics ranging from the endangered California Condor to canyon geology to historical culture.
Day 3
The morning is spent exploring further reaches of the Grand Canyon. Take a stroll along the Rim Trail, enjoy the sprawling view from the Desert View Watchtower or tour one of the informative visitor centers. This afternoon, a scenic desert drive brings us to the iconic Monument Valley.
Day 4
Head into Monument Valley Tribal Park. It’s time for the ultimate Western experience! Take an optional jeep tour through the rugged desert-and-mesa landscape. Marvel at Navajo art, jewelry, and elaborate oral traditions during our time with the local community.
Day 5
Today’s destination is Valley of Fire State Park. Ancient, petrified trees and petroglyphs dating back over 2,000 years adorn the towering red sandstone walls on a hike through Petroglyph Canyon. This afternoon, head back to Los Angeles with a rejuvenated adventurous spirit.

Indulge in the magnificence of the west coast! Not only is the scenery remarkable, but there’s much to learn about the coastal ecosystem along the way!
Day 1
The adventure begins in Monterey, a coastal town made famous by John Steinbeck! Optional activities include an Elkhorn Slough kayak trip to get a close look at the abundance of marine wildlife in this unique habitat. We’ll spend some time with the docents at the Visitor Center to learn more about the conservation of this special estuary.
Day 2
Enjoy what the quaint, historic city of Monterey has to offer. Tour the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s awe-inspiring exhibits. Stroll along Cannery Row, grab some treats on Fisherman’s Wharf or have a sand castle building contest on the beach in the evening.
Day 3
Take a hike along scenic trails to grand views of the Pacific Ocean at Point Lobos Marine Preserve. Seals, sea lions, sea birds, otters and even grey whales call this coastal sanctuary home. Learn of the ocean ecosystems, how the marine preserve helps maintain biodiversity and how climate change and pollution impact the area. Later, we’ll venture south along the breathtaking Big Sur coastline to our tranquil campground.
Day 4
Greet the day with a variety of opportunities! Should the group desire, there is time available for an outdoor classroom at camp. Soak up the sun, meander the pier, take a hike and splash in the waves at San Simeon State Beach. We’ll visit an Elephant Seal Colony to marvel at their size and unique lifestyle. Optional docent talk available.
Day 5
An exhilarating and educational ferry ride brings us to the Channel Islands National Park. Keep your eyes out for dolphins, whales and other sea life! Day 6
Visit the Channel Islands National Park Visitor Center this morning. Then, spend the day enjoying surfing lessons, stand up paddle boarding or beachcombing in Ventura. This evening, we’ll head for our campground and enjoy a final evening together around a bonfire.
Day 7
Top off the adventure with a visit to Pinnacles National Park. Learn about the California Condor Recovery Program at the park. Explore the visitor center and keep an eye out for the striking birds on a hike. This afternoon, we’ll make our way home on the most comfortable coach around! Relax, reminisce, play games and enjoy the final leg of an awesome journey.
